Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how information is handled when you answer questions, join a group of three, chat, use optional communication features, or contact QUZIA.
Effective 13 October 20261. Scope and contact
This Privacy Policy applies to the QUZIA mobile application, website, and related services (the “Service”). QUZIA is responsible for the personal information described here. For privacy questions and requests, use the Contact link and choose “Privacy request” as the topic.
This policy describes the main ways information is used in the QUZIA experience. Information that is not needed for a feature should not be requested for that feature. Your device and app-store providers may handle information under their own policies.
2. Information connected to your use of QUZIA
Account and profile information
When you create or use an account, information may include your sign-in identifier, display name, age or age-confirmation information, profile photo, profile details, and settings you choose to provide. The exact fields depend on the sign-in and profile features available to you.
Answers, matches, and conversations
QUZIA processes the answers you submit to question rounds, the resulting comparisons and group membership, and the messages and other content you share in a group. If you use an available audio or video feature, your device must process the audio or video needed to connect you with other participants. Other participants can see or hear what you choose to share with them.
Safety and support information
If you report or block someone, contact support, or request help, information may include the report, relevant account or conversation details, messages you send to support, and actions taken in response. We may also keep records needed to investigate misuse and protect users.
Technical information
Like most online services, QUZIA may process network and device information needed to deliver and secure the Service, such as an IP address, device or app version, approximate location inferred from an IP address, timestamps, crash information, and service logs. If a feature requests access to a protected device resource such as the camera, microphone, photos, notifications, or precise location, your device will ask for permission where required. You can manage those permissions in your device settings.
3. Why information is used
QUZIA uses information to:
- create and maintain accounts and profiles, and authenticate users;
- present question rounds, compare answers, form groups of three, and support chat and available communication features;
- show selected profile information, answers, and content to the people you interact with;
- respond to support requests, reports, blocks, and safety concerns;
- protect accounts, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain the Service;
- meet legal obligations and resolve disputes; and
- provide optional features only when you choose to use them or give permission where required.
Where the GDPR or a similar law applies, the legal basis may be performance of our contract with you for core account and group features, our legitimate interests in security and service integrity where those interests are not overridden by your rights, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent for processing that requires it. You can withdraw consent through the relevant in-app or device setting, or by contacting us, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
4. When information is shared
Other users. People in your group may see the profile information, answers, comparisons, messages, and media that the Service makes available to that group. A person you communicate with may retain information you share or capture it outside QUZIA.
Service providers. Companies that provide hosting, communications, security, support, or other technical services may process information on QUZIA’s behalf under appropriate contractual and security protections.
Legal and safety reasons. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, threats, abuse, or a serious safety concern; protect rights and property; or respond to lawful requests.
Business changes. If the Service or its assets are transferred, relevant information may transfer with them, subject to applicable privacy protections and notice where required.
5. Your choices
You can choose what to include in your profile, what answers or content to submit, whether to join a conversation, and whether to use optional camera or microphone features. Your app and device settings may let you control notifications and permissions. You can report or block another user through the tools provided in the app.
Do not include sensitive personal information in answers, messages, or your profile unless you are comfortable with the people in your group seeing it. QUZIA cannot control information that another user copies or shares outside the Service.
6. How long information is kept
Account and profile information, answers, group information, and conversations are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service and maintain your account. Safety reports, service logs, and support records may be kept for a longer period where reasonably needed to investigate abuse, prevent repeat violations, resolve disputes, or comply with law. Backups may take additional time to expire.
When information is no longer needed for these purposes, it should be deleted or de-identified. Deletion of your account does not remove information already copied by another user outside the Service, and limited records may remain where retention is legally required or justified for safety and dispute resolution.
7. International transfers
Because QUZIA may connect people in different countries, information may be processed outside your country or region. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, QUZIA will use an appropriate legal mechanism and related protections. You may contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
8. Your privacy rights and account deletion
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. Some rights have legal exceptions. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
To request account and associated data deletion: use the account deletion option in the app where available, or send a request through the Contact link and choose “Account deletion request” as the topic. We will explain any limited information that must be retained for legal, security, or dispute reasons.
For any other privacy request, contact us using the link above. We will respond in accordance with the laws that apply to your request.
9. Security
QUZIA uses technical and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No online system is completely secure. Protect your account credentials, use the in-app safety tools, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
10. Age requirement
QUZIA is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly offer the Service to children. If you believe someone under 18 has provided personal information through QUZIA, contact us so the account and information can be reviewed and, where appropriate, removed.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service or applicable requirements change. The current version will show its effective date. We will provide additional notice for material changes where required by law. If a change requires consent, we will seek it before applying the new processing.
